This is my first post here and I wanted to ask if it was possible to make a hackintosh system from the Aura. I've heard M.2 NVMe SSDs aren't easy to get up and running. From what I see the rest should be compatible, but im not quite sure. Also if it was possible installing MacOS shouldn't void the warranty on the Aura, right?

Thanks

My curiosity is getting the better of me. I can't answer your questions but I have to ask one of my own:

Why?

IDK, good question I just like macOS. Of course I would dual boot with Windows and use that most of the time but OSX got something nice to it. Also I could test programs i write for both Mac and Windows rather than just hoping for them to work on macOS without issues.

I can't answer the dual boot setup, but can say it doesn't void parts warranty to my knowledge.    An m.2 drive shouldn't be any issue setting up.   The mobo Bios needs to recognize it as a pcie storage device and DS does that anyways.    There have been many postings of the m.2 not showing in Bios , but still working, and I think it's a Bios setup or update issue.    DS takes care of it.

That sounds good. It should work fine since it's Intel based. I just don't see spending thousands of dollars on a computer already and then spending thousands of dollars again to get hardware I already have running another OS

Interesting. I am the only W operator in my family. I'll have to ask "the experts" about this mix. Usually the hardware is Apple because of Retina.Whoa
Let us know how it goes.

I will have to wait almost one year until I have enough money or a mid config anyways. Let's see what updates the Aura will get until then

Hello, any update here?

I had the same question.... I'd like to spec out a gaming desktop here, but have it also have some sort of "boot camp" so that I can jump into macOS High Sierra when needed.

It's pretty common on high end mac's to parallel a WIndows 10 install... just wondering how well it could work the other way around. Especially since the hardware on the PC side is so much more open ended.

Would love to see a maxed out Aventum 3 running macOS vs a new iMac Pro 18-Core with some benchmark comparisons.
