I need to replace the water pump on my Aventum 3. Radiators are in the way on the sides. So I figure I need to go through the front. How do I remove the front panel? Also what dimension are the fittings and what type of water pump is it?

Welcome and congratulations. Sorry you are having issues. Those pumps are tough. You sure it failed? If you are running hot, it might be dirty rads and/or fans. I have an Aventum II and the front panel comes off by pulling on it. Mine has a card reader on it and if yours has one also, be careful with the wires. Mine were glued on. I got them off by accident when I dropped the panel and the wires came off! No harm done, fortunately. On mine the pump is a D5 with a Bitspower Mod Kit. Don't know what was used on yours. Most fittings are 1/4" but the size of the tubing/hose varies. You will have to call DS. On mine the size is 3/8"ID, 5/8"OD tubing. Good luck and keep us posted. |

It might just need to be flushed out really well. I bought my Aventum in 2018, have only flushed it a few times since then. What’s the life on these pumps?

What is it doing that you need to flush the coolant? Mine was built in 2014 and I have only flushed once because of various leaking fittings that had to be r&r. Still on same pump and hardware. The coolant is still crystal clear. The D5 pump is rated at 50,000 hours but..... If it fails, the system has automatic thermal shutdown triggers to avoid damage to the cpu
