Greetings from England!

Right of, I would like to apologize in advance if I have somehow missed some information regarding this question or have otherwise been a fool.

I love the Aventum, and am a firm believer in that it should be entered in to every art gallery in the western hemisphere. I was wondering wether it is possible to configure such a computer with a 3770k rather than the 3960x? And what the ramifications in price would be if it is.

Thank you very much for your time, I hope to be purchasing a ds pc soon!

Thank you for your interest in a Digital Storm PC, especially our flagship Aventum!

The reason for no 3770K is because the Aventum does not come with the Z77 chipset. That chipset and processors are for more mainstream solutions, not high-end builds based on the X79 Intel chipset.

If you really wish, we could help you configure a system around the Z77 platform but, you're better off using our other line of systems such as the HailStorm or Slade in our Black OPS brand.

The Avenum is an awesome rig.     You could reduce cost if budget is tight by starting with level one and choosing the i7-3820 cpu for alot less.   Its a four core chip like the 3770k but with more cache.

The Aventum is their flagship, high end config but can be config'd to fit a wide range of needs and affordability.   Sli., 2x gtx 680 is standard but that also can be tweeked for a single gtx680.

Whatever system you choose will be built and supported by their high standards.

Lots of options to choose.

One more quick question, what would the shipping costs to England be if I were to order a loaded aventum?

Thanks again

It would be fairly expensive due to the weight of the system (100LBS) and size of the box. I would say around $500USD-$700USD for the system.

There are ways to reduce the cost of shipping, however, if Digital Storm allows it. (Which I'm honestly not sure if they do) but you could use your companies FedEx account if they are frequently shipping items (particularly overseas) and reimburse them. A lot of large companies get pretty significant discounts on shipments based on the volume they ship per year. If I had to guess, I would say Digital Storm's cost of shipping (not packaging) is probably at around a 50% discount compared to the average person who went in to a FedEx to ship something.

It's something that's actually interested me if Digital Storm allows people to use their accounts. Since I'm eligible for a 70% off shipping discount with FedEx.

Hi Tekapeel,

One thing you might consider is to use the 3930K CPU rather than the 3960X. This would save you $500 and that would go a long ways toward your shipping. If you are building a gaming machine there won't be any performance penalty using the 3930K with todays games.

Frank

Here is an Aventum system for you to consider. I added a sound card assuming that with a system like this you will want the best sound. You can remove that if you won't have a speaker system. You should also consider increasing the warranty from the standard three year offering.
