Hello everyone, let me just start by saying two things: 1) English is not my first language so excuse me if I say something that nobody understands; 2) I'm a noob and don't know anything about building computers, hence why I'm looking for a Digital Storm Computer so they will build it for me, so feel free to correct me if i write something that doesn't make any sense.

So here is what I wanna know. I'm interested in buying an Aventum computer and I can't decide whether to buy it with the Cryo-Tec option or with the regular cooling system. I understand both of them come equipped with the 3x420mm rads. But I don't understand what exactly is the difference between the two. Is it the liquid or the CPU water block or both.

More important than that I want to know about the maintenance of this system. Because on paper the Cryo-Tec system is the best out there, but I'm worried on how the maintenance of the system will affect me in the long run.

For example, does the system needs liquid refueling, if it does how often? I guess this question applies for both systems.

There are no pictures showing where are the liquid reservoirs, so where are they and how hard is it to get to them to refill them? And if I needed to, how hard it would be to drain, refill and bleed the system?

The liquid for the Cryo-Tec system, is it a regular liquid that I can find anywhere or is it a special Digital Storm brand, how hard is it to get it, do you guys sell it or do I have to buy it through another company, how expensive is it, is it hard to get to another country (by the way I'm from Puerto Rico).

The same questions apply for the liquid in the regular Aventum cooling system.

Do you guys refill the system yourself in Digital Storm? Is that covered in the 3 Year Standard Warranty that you guys offer?

Again I'm sorry if any of my questions if not all are noob questions. I just want to know if spending the $1500 extra for the Cryo-Tec system is worth it in the long run.

If anybody out there can explain to me the exact differences between both systems and all of the pros and cons of each one it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to anyone that helps.

Some say his middle initial is the letter U, and that he never understood the ending of Prometheus. All we know is... He's called The Stig.

Hi Semi-Pro, welcome to the DS Forum.

You have asked a lot of question about the CryoTec system that can only be answered by DS. This is a propitiatory system and there is not a lot of details available. DS have engineered and developed this system and they will be your source for parts.

We have members on the Forum that has the CryoTec system and they may stop by and help you out. In regards to what system you should choose. I think you have to take a hard look because you are in Puerto Rico. You will need to ship in a crate and the cost is much higher than in the States. If you have a failure with the CryoTec system you will have to pay for shipping to and from DS for the repair. That is, after the first thirty days you will have to pay shipping both ways. You should read the DS warranty.

In most cases DS won't send you parts to repair the CryoTec system. With a regular Liquid Cooling system DS will send you any part you need to fix a problem. Please understand I am not saying the CryoTec system will break or is not reliable, because it is. I am just alerting you to the shipping cost that may be necessary if you have a failure.

I have to leave and will be back.

Frank
