Good morning guys,

I have been lurking on these forums since I ordered my PC back in December. Luckily, it was shipped last week! Unfortunately, today, the day it was supposed to be delivered, I was called by UPS who informed me that my PC has been lost.

I remember reading another post of someone who ran into this problem, and was curious to see if any of you guys have heard of the solutions that were found for them. Here's to waiting EVEN LONGER!

Unless a Scorchbeast swooped in and swallowed the truck, I am really flabbergasted that that would happen for an Aventum shipment. Aventums are shipped ground only via pallets. Seems to me that this is a legal issue between UPS and DS. Unfortunately, you will have to wait. But, this is an alarming trend we are seeing not only with PCs but consoles as well which are being stolen from the delivery trucks.

I also am confused how a 200lb package was lost within a day of it being sent to UPS.

Did UPS provide you with any information for example filing a claim or having DS the shipper file a claim?

The UPS worker who called me stated that DS will have to contact UPS for a claim. I sent an email to DS, but I posted here because I was curious if anyone else had this type of experience, and what the outcome was.

I did dig up that thread where a guy lost his PC, it was not updated with a resolution unfortunately. I will keep searching, thank you for the tip!

Contact DS via telephone or email [email protected]. They don't frequent these forums every day and need to be informed of the loss immediately. DS has to start a trace.

Now, having said that, it is my understanding that as the Aventums are going out as "freight" and palletized that DS uses a different company. Regular and overnight are the usual suspects (FedEx/UPS) but freight is different. (Unless they recently changed it with the weirdness going on in our country.)

One guys PC, not bought here, was lost also. UPS finally found it in a town in the Northeast and he lives in Las Vegas. Took them a bit to find where his PC ended up, but it was found. Best of luck to you and your PC.

Very sorry about this. It is of no fault of DS. That said, you never got it so you cannot file a claim. It is DS issue. They have to file the claim. Have a friend that lost a DS pc (custom Lynch for his son)  in the USPS. It took a while but he got his refund. Good luck.

Personally we had a whole duffle bag of winter clothing drop out of a FedEx truck and got "lost". Took a long while but we got our claim.

I appreciate the responses, as of now there are no new updates. I also want to clarify that this is not a post to bash DS, just to see if other's have an experience with this type of situation. UPS is technically at fault. We are hoping now that it is stuck in a warehouse, and not actually stolen, fingers crossed.

Yeah, usually crappy things happen with USPS and FedEx sometimes. It makes me not happy that you would buy a machine and then after that it gets lost somehow. Nobody would've been able like you said to steal a 200LBS computer within the first day, nonetheless have it actually be "stolen" or something.

Who knows, maybe the driver loved your PC and stole it since it was that good LMAO.

I'm getting worried that I might be in the same boat as you. My order was scheduled to get here next Monday the 22nd, but my last tracking update was as of 3/15 when it departed California but there has not been an update on this since. I've contacted FedEx who is opening research investigation.

I just really hope this isn't the case and that things are delayed..

I don't want you to worry, but that is exactly what my tracking number looks like. Hasn't been update since it departed a nearby facility in CA. I am sure we will be taken care of though, just might have to wait a little longer.

Same here. Scheduled to arrive Monday the 22nd, but no updates since it departed Tracey, Ca on 3/17/21. Hopefully, we are all OK and this is just a bit of a hiccup in the scanning system.

Good news! UPS was incorrect in reporting the PC missing, it was basically just in a very slow freight trip from CA to PA. It will delivered tomorrow afternoon! Let's hope the PC survived the trip!

With the extreme weather they were having north of the 40th parallel last week, and since you're trying to get it from CA to PA, it was probably rerouted through TX before swinging up the eastern seaboard.

I have friends and family in Wyoming and they were telling me everything was closed due to a serious batch of very severe weather. With the streets and freeways closed it probably stands to reason the rails were as well.

Glad to see that your amazing beast of a machine is about home.

Just to make sure, we are talking about UPS Freight. Different animal from UPS. It will not come in a UPS truck but a BIG truck. It comes strapped to a pallet. You will need some big friends to move your baby!Strong It is heavy.

That is great news. BUT, UPS should have known exactly where that package was at all times! Unless it sat in a trailer and wasn't scanned... very unlikely.

Sorry for the delay, I figured I would update after the delivery day. Fortunately, everything has been smooth sailing, the package was heavy, but the PC itself was unscathed and working perfectly! I was impressed with the packaging, especially the foam inside the PC to keep the parts from moving. It is a beautiful beast, and I cannot believe that it is finally here. Well worth the wait so far. Very excited to play around with it and try some new games out!
