At long last I have been able to unbox my new Aventum-X system. Definitely easier with two people, this is a beast.
Base Config Info: Aventum-X Case Intel i9-9920X Asus ROG Strix Motherboard 64GB Memory 1200w Corsair Power 1TB 970Pro SSD 4TB WD Ultrastar NVidia RTX2080 Super Hydrolux Pro Cooling Corsair ML Pro Series Fans (14) Unbuntu Linux (will replace with openSUSE 15.1) Next steps will be to load new O/S and back up old system to transfer to Aventum box. Just wanted to share photos so others can see how awesome this thing is. The packaging is great and am definitely keeping all packing materials, they even include tie down straps for when you want to strap it to a pallet in the future for transport. Amazing service, amazing company, amazing attention to detail. It doesn't get any better. Thanks to everyone here that helped me think through the to the final configuration. In the SystemFront image you can my existing desktop next to the Aventum. I thought it was big. Apologies for the delay in replying. I didn't get my data system actually running on it until Thanksgiving and have been tweaking ever since. Absolutely no issues. Out of the box, every just worked. Very very pleased. I am running Linux, so I am not doing gaming but needed something to last in to the future and heavy duty enough to deal with the photography and multimedia I do deal with. I formatted the system clean and installed my Linux system of choice, openSUSE 15.1 and also installed VirtualBox (Virtual Machine Manager) and loaded WinDOHS 10 Pro in to that. The Windows 10 Pro runs faster in that Virtual Machine under Linux on this box than my native Dell XPS 13 runs Windows Pro. It's amazing. So far everything has been absolutely solid and the machine is quiet, even with those 14 MagLev fans in it, it's quiet enough for an office environment. Definitely made the right choice and I would never go anywhere else but Digital Storm for any future builds. Definitely worth the money. |

Thanks for the update! The bit about Windows running faster in VM than native on the Dell cracked me up. Enjoy your beast and Happy Holidays!

That is very nice! I got to learn more about managing a custom loop before I get into that stuff.
