Hello all, my name is Tully and I have been a Digital Storm customer since 2015. The first computer I purchased was a Vanquish Model III, and I was very happy with it!

I started college last year in December and was going to purchase a laptop, but, I was told to wait because Digital Storm would have NVIDIA GeForce 3080 RTX GPU's in their laptops by March. Well it's March now, so I decided to go all out and purchase the "Ultimate" build of Digital Storm's Avon laptop. Here are my specs/configuration:

Memory: 32GB DDR4 2666MHz
Storage Drive 1: 1x SSD M.2 (1TB Samsung 980 PRO) (NVM Express)
Storage Drive 2: 1x SSD M.2 (1TB Samsung 980 PRO) (NVM Express)
Graphics Card(s): NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 16GB (VR Ready) (Max-Q)

I wanted to get the best performance and compared SSD benchmarks.

As soon as I get this new laptop I will post a review and some gaming benchmarks. I can't wait to see how games like The Witcher 3 and GTA 5 VR Mode will run and look!

Looking forward to the review. Will probably be my next purchase

Good luck on your purchase. I see that the Avon Ultimate is not a cheap laptop with its base starting price of $2866. These laptops are built on the Clevo chasses using 10th gen Intel CPUs, many of which have been micro-coded to no longer permit undervolting. I would encourage you to visit this thread (older but similar model) to get an idea of what to expect performance-wise:

Be wary of what you get at that price point. My recommendations are to stick with a DS desktop for heavy computing and a cheap laptop ($1k) for portable computing.

I'm on the fence about this laptop too, would be very grateful for a full review and some pictures 👍
