Hello everyone at the digital storm boards I regret having to post again asking for help for a new build but since my last build failed to progress beyond concept this time I think it's actually going to go through all the way home in a few months.

Like before I have up to a $5000 budget from which the desktop, monitor, speakers, keyboard and shipping will be coming from. The build number is 725575

This computer is solely for gaming of the highest graphical degree. I play games from every genre but Skyrim is my favorite to play. I also intend on downloading the 2k res textures from Skyrim nexus which gives Skyrim a super deluxe ultra graphics mode for reference the website link to the mod is here

Edit: I chose the gtx690 and the cooling system the way it is because I honestly don't ever plan on changing/adding a graphics card or changing the processor and mobo. Also I chose the blue fans because I saw them on someone else's build and they looked pretty sick as well as I like how blue looks.

Well if you never plan on upgrading then your system will become obsolete in a few years as tech is always expanding

Hi storm0545 .... That build looks good to me.     Just want to say that water cooling does require maintenance in a year or so.      Not required for great gaming, but if your good with it then go for it.    It does look great.    Best of luck.

Hi storm0525,

I too player Skyrim heavily modded with high res texture mods.  My system has 2 GTX 670 4GB cards.  In testing I have found that Skyrim, heavily modded with texture mods uses almost 3GB of VRAM on each card.

The GTX 690 is esssentilly 2 GTX 680 with 2 GBs of VRAM each.  I would consider changing to either 2 GTX 670 4GB cards or 2 GTX 680 4GB cards to get the most out of Skyrim.

I hope this helps

If you want the power of the 690...I would honestly recommend SLi 680s instead, they're higher clocked and will provide you with better results than a single 690.

Also, if you're getting the LC system for looks, all good. But the Noctua D14 is an excellent AC system if you'd like to keep your computer on air.
I live my life protecting your rights, which you use to destroy mine.

Thanks for the heads up after rethinking it over while looks are awesome it would be more feasible to keep it on the Noctua, deselect the monitor and just hook it up to my 30" tv and also swap the 690 for two 680 4gbs' saves me about 1k and lets me throw that towards other parts of the system. Plus I can always keep the blue fans and throw in blue lighting.

Also I know last year i asked for your help previously Bprat and I value you chiming in once again. I couldn't get the desktop last year because Losing two family members (grandparents) in the same year funds needed to be reallocated to more necessary things. This year I'm aiming to have this beast delivered and running to enjoy this fall's line up of heavy hitters.

Glad to see you back and sorry for your loss.    I lost three family members in a 14 month period several years ago so can feel the pain.     Keep us updated with your build progress.   This rig is gonna rock your games.

Out of curiosity what's the required maintenance like on liquid cooled systems?

Hi storm0545,

I made a few changes to your build. Some of the things I deleted you can buy from a different source or add back in. I did eliminate the blow hole in the side of the window. You don't need that with Stage 6 LC. I dropped back to the 1050 PS. That is all you need.

I agree with frank. Double gtx 670s would be perfect for skyrim heavily modded.
