Hello all,
I'd like to get some sort of easy setup for backing up my HDD's going. I currently have two 120GB SSD's, and a 1TB HDD. I use all three and would like some simple, set and forget way to back them up. I'm thinking adding a 2TB WD Caviar Black using that to back up the other drives to. Any thoughts? I know it's preferable to clone drives, but 1) its more expensive to get that many drives and 2) I don't think there's a way to automatically clone the drives. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ADVISE! |

Set it and forget it is not a good way, then you are looking at imaging, and that can fail, its has on me which is why I only clone now.
for your os drive nothing but clone will do otherwise your os/boot files will not get backed up. so if you want a 100% reliable way, clone, otherwise no matter what you use it can fail on you. |
