Hey guys. My PC was over-clocked by DS and I was curious if the OC will remain after I run the System restore cd the rig came with.

Thanks!

yes if you reinstall windows or use the restore disk the OC will remain
(unless the video card is overclocked with msi afterburner)

Your cpu oc is on the bios, it has nothing to do with windows or your hdd or restore cd.

in short you can uninstall windows, change HDD, dance around with no os and the whole time the oc is still there.

did you have your gpu oced?

he said his "pc" was overclocked, he could have selected to do both cpu and gpu overclocking, i dont know if ds overclocks video with afterburner or bios, never seen someone say either way

Maybe you should reread what he wrote.

I did, what does that say to you?

I ask again where in there does it say that cpu oc stays no matter what?

its say yes or oc will stay if you install windows or use the restore cd, the cpu oc has nothing to do with this and I don't see ender clarifying it. is the OP psychic?

so now this is how we tell new people that don't know any better that their cpu oc is in the bios, by saying this:

if that is the case then ya face palm for sure

ok whatever, I'm to tired to argue, but I think telling the op that the oc is on the bios and has nothing to do with restore or reinstall would be better.
