Topic: Bang for ($2,000) Buck Posted: 27 Apr 2009 at 2:13am |
I am looking to get a new rig and although I'd love to spend much more I can't see myself PC gaming enough to warrant spending much more than $2,000. The config below has basically what I want although I'd like to shave off a bit if I could without sacrificing much performance. Any thoughts? Is it a decent build? It would be used for gaming and general use. Also, what's a couple good reasons to buy this here when it seems I could get an almost identical build elsewhere for considerably less?

I'm really not sure yet...Right now 1440x900 but that would probably go up a bit...Maybe 1680 or 1920.

in that case there is nothing to shave off, for resolution of 1900 x 1200 you will need dual sli or the 295 and everything else is what its suppose to be.
If you want to get your money's worth you will buy here, we are all aware other places that look like they are selling the same system but they are not which is why we all came here to buy |

Thanks for the response. I figured as much that there would be nothing to shave off but does everything I have on there look ok? Any tweaks I should make that wouldn't save or add too much money like just small stuff? Thanks again.
