We bought Batman: Arkham Asylum this weekend - it was $12 or so for the 75% off sale - http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-us/games/pages/gamesondemand.aspx .

Will all settings maxed, benchmark gets 59 fps average and low of 40 fps.

We tried to turn on the CPU PhysX processing, and the average fps dropped to 20 with a low of 12.

Does anyone know of a workaround for getting more fps with PhysX enabled with the ATI video cards? The PhysX effects in the game look very nice (paper blowing, fog, flags/banners waving) and we would like to be able to play with them, but 20 fps is not acceptable :(.

Thanks,
Mikki

p.s. hoping to post new pics of the system today :) Sorry for the delay!

drop a GTS 250 in the mix, only way to get Physx going good is o add a nvidia card for a physx worker

Would that even work? I though Nvidia disabled physx with ATI cards a while back with one of it's driver updates.

Nvida disabled it, so we just have to enable it, very simple.

i don't even know if I have room for another video card... I hope PhysX dies a slow painful death, and it's nice seeing Nvidia fail. :)
