Ive been excited to play this for a while. Got to play for an hour or two today, and its wicked fun.
Performance wise tho, this game does not mess around. This is the first game that my PC has actually struggled to do well on. I think my 1.2gb 570s are just now starting to show their age. I was able to play on 4031x720 (triple monitor res) on Low/Medium graphics settings at 20-50 FPS. When I switched to windowed mode for just one screen, I was able to get 40-50 FPS on Medium/High. Im thinking about buying a pair of new GPUs, it will be interesting to see how the landscape changes after the 15th when AMD releases I would absolutely love if you guys at DS could post some benchmarks with current hardware setups. 3770k, 16G @ 1600, and gtx 690 maintains >60 fps dips down a little bit during huge engagements or lots of explosions, but I think that'll smooth out after actual release.
Oh, and by the way, it's a freaking amazing game. The first time point C started to topple while I was on top of it I was like "wtf is that?.... ABORT ABORT ABORT!" Sernafied on origin if anyone's interested in fragging together. |

@redsoxfanatic here is a quick look we did with a GTX 770, 780 and Titan.
We will do further benchmarks when the game is finally released & optimized. |

Can you do a comparison of like the GTX 780 in BF 4 vs like the 7970 (or even an R9 290X when you get them). I'd much rather see an R9 series comparison vs GTX 780/GTX Titan. |

quad sli... who knows. I'd take one of the 4 gpu's and set it to physic's (i know the spelling) and just run tri-sli. Scaling will be much better.

Just booted up the beta with my Vanquish 4, ran it on max settings (except I did turn down AA a notch, cant tell diff besides framerate) for two hours at a solid 40-50 fps.

I tried it and uninstalled, It ran great on my PC, but even maxed I thought it looked about the same as BF3, waiting to see how the single player looks, perhaps the bells and whistles are toned down for multi.

Yea, they took the beta down. But it launches on the 29th! :D I think i'm on days off when it launches, so I'll be jacked in for a few days, baby permitting!

I pretty much gave up on the Battlefield series after the terrible experience I had with Origin and Battlefield 3. I really hate how the Battlefield series changed after EA took over. I haven't even looked at Battlefield 4 and don't plan to.
For those of you that enjoy it, have fun, but count me out. I'm not a fan of run and gun. |
