Budget:
3000-3500 Expectations: to be able to last for awhile without upgrading much and to be powerful Usage: mostly gaming and browsing the net and all ive built two pcs before but i dont wanna stress about making them and worrying bout if i can or can't upgrade it what i want to do is have a dual monitor setup i already have an acer H243H monitor and i just bought an ASUS VH232H Glossy Black 23" 5ms Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 20000:1 w/Speakers & HDMI for christmas since it was on sale. what i would like to do is game on one and use the other monitor for other stuff like internet playing music and all but i just want a set up that is going to last for a few years or so with not a lot of upgrading but i also wanna save money but if spending more will help i can go up to 4000 if really needed ive been looking at digital storm for years but never had the money till now so any suggestions will be great :D also i know you all suggest the haf x case but im not sure on it since my room gets really dusty so i need to constantly clean the dust out every week or two so any suggestions on that will be greatly appreciated thanks guys cant wait to see what you come up with :D also im gonna pay with paypal if thats possible? i saw you could do it before but not sure if thats still an option or not lol |

Hi Raphael_Lawliet... Welcome to the forums.
I would check out the ODE level 4 for a start. Its one of DS's best bang for the buck and its sli gtx 670's will max out pretty much anything gaming on a single monitor. If there's something about it you don't like, then we can put together a custom build, but its usually more $$ for the same performance. As far as dust, any good gaming rig with the fans need to cool it will suck in the dust. The HafX as you said does have great cooling and the fans love Hope this helps and good luck. |

Here's a custom config with pretty much the best of everything. The 6 core 3930k chip isn't needed for gaming, so you could save $300 going with the 3820 4 core chip. But, down the road, who knows?
Also, sli, gtx 670's are cheaper with almost the same gaming as the sli 680's but the 680's are the best and in your budget. I did put in the HafX but that's easy enough if you want to change , like the 600T, 500R, etc. Config # 768143 Cost $ 3603 Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Cooler Master 942 HAF X Exterior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish Trim Accents: - Standard Factory Finish Processor: Intel Core i7 3930K 3.2GHz (Unlocked CPU for Extreme Overclocking) (Six-Core) Motherboard: ASUS P9X79 DELUXE (Intel X79 Chipset) (Features USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gb/s) System Memory: 16GB DDR3 1600MHz Digital Storm Certified Performance Series (Highly Recommended) (Hand Tested) Power Supply: 1050W Corsair Pro Silver 1050HX (Dual/Triple/Quad SLI Compatible) Expansion Bay: - No Thanks Hard Drive Set 1: Operating System: 1x (180GB Solid State (By: Intel) (Model: 520 Series) Set 1 Raid Options: - No Thanks Hard Drive Set 2: Multimedia\Data: 1x (1TB Western Digital Caviar (7200 RPM) (Model: Black Edition) Hard Drive Set 3: Backup\Misc.: - No Thanks Optical Drive 1: Blu-Ray & DVD Writer/Reader (Burn + Play Blu-Ray & DVDs) (12x BD-R) Optical Drive 2: - No Thanks Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Video Card: 2x SLI Dual (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2GB (PhysX) (Overclocked EVGA) Add-on Card: - No Thanks Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio Extreme Cooling: H20: Stage 2: Digital Storm Vortex 240mm Radiator Liquid CPU Cooler (Extreme-Performance Edition) H20 Tube Color:- Not Applicable, I do not have a FrostChill or Sub-Zero LCS Cooling System Selected Chassis Airflow: Standard Factory Chassis Fans Internal Lighting: Internal Chassis Lighting System (Red) Enhancements: - No Thanks Chassis Mods: - No Thanks Noise Reduction: - No Thanks LaserMark: - No Thanks Boost Processor: Stage 2: Overclock CPU 4.5GHz to 4.8GHz (Requires Pro/Deluxe/Sabertooth Motherboard) Boost Video Card: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s) Boost Memory: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my memory Boost OS: - No Thanks, Please do not tweak the services on the operating system Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-Bit Edition) Recovery Tools: Windows Recovery Toolkit (Bundled with Windows CD) Virus Protection: - No Thanks Office: - No Thanks Game: - No Thanks Display: - No Thanks Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: - No Thanks Keyboard: - No Thanks Mouse: - No Thanks External Storage: - No Thanks Exclusive T-Shirt: FREE: Digital Storm T-Shirt - Black (Large) Priority Build: - No Thanks, Ship Within 10-15 Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed Warranty: Life-time Expert Customer Care with 3 Year Limited Warranty Edited by bprat22 - 27 Dec 2012 at 8:43am |
