Hi I'm new to the site and I've done a ton of research on custom built pc companies and I'm by far the most impressed by you guys, I will definitely be buying from you guys when I have the money to do so, I have been browsing though and usually with gpu's and cpu's I use videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html and cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html. I just wanted to know if these are legit or if they're more accurate lists? btw DST4ME I admire your feedback the most and I really trust it just basing it on your comments to others posts, ill definitely love your input whenever it comes time for me to build a rig here

Those benchmarks don't really tell you real life use, if you want to look at benchmarks you need to look at ones that do what you are actually going to be doing.

for example if its gaming, then you want to see actual gaming benchmark.

also one site, and one benchmark never mean anything, and keep in mind benchmarks are done with test systems, most are not in a case, and are just running that one game or app, our use and environment is totally different, we have avs and etc running in the background, so even the good sites/benchmarks are to be taken with a grain of salt, and within each benchmark you need to look at details, what drivers, what os, what gpu, what ram, what mobo and etc.

for good benches try guru3d, techpowerup, anadtech, hardware heaven, those are just 4, there are others but you have to pay careful attention to their test methods.

on top of that if its for gaming, your res makes all the difference in the world, for example videocardbenchmark site you linked makes the 580 look so much more powerful then the 570, but if are at 1600 x 1200 res, the difference is zero, if you are at 1900 x 1200 the difference where it counts is like 2 to 4 fps better which mounts to nothing really.
