I'm not sure which is the best. I've never compared any of the top 30 inch models side by side. I do, however own the apple 30 inch and I love it. I would def recommend going to an apple store and checking it out before buying.

I have a Dell 30" and I love it. It definitely takes a while to get used to... =)

The Dell 30" is easily one of the best and most people have them. Actually they also have a newer model it looks like and extremetech gave it really good reviews, but it is a little more expensive: http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,2244043,00.asp
They also review the Gateway XHD3000 which supposedly was their previous best 30" tested: http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,2192645,00.asp
I doubt you will go wrong with either of these. Edited by nomec - 13 Jan 2008 at 12:58pm |

Got a dell and love it. no complaints (but then I only use if for my comp, not as a media center). The new Dells have multiple inputs and is worth the extra bit if you think you might hookup other devices (dvd player, xbox360, ps3) to the monitor. I hear the Gateway XHD3000 is great for a media center setup but run real hot especially if you're sitting 24 inches away from it.
