Hi. Can anyone tell me what the best config is for $2000. I don't need overclocking or an i7 (it would be nice). I play Call of Duty and Dirt at 1080p. Just one monitor. If possible make it something that can last 5 years with minimal upgrades. I would also like 16gb of ram.

You could go with on the ODE's either level 1 or 2 or if you don't like them here is one build:
The haf x is the best air cooled case with slow moving fans that move lots of air. You are not going to need 16GB of ram unless you do heavy duty media editing/rendering. 6GB of ram is more then enough, 8GB is plenty.
the only thing you should need to upgrade is gonna be the gpu in 2 to 3 years.
