q6600 chip looking for what you all think is the best standing heatsink on the market. my artic 7 has just gone bad on me, it was a very good performing fan IMO, kept me in the 30s with a beastly overclock the way my case is built its vital to me that the fan be standing off the chip vertical and be blowing towards the BACK of the case. please keep this in mind when making suggestions price is not important although under 100 would be nice |

The Cooler Master V8 is one of the best CPU air coolers out. Just make sure that you have enough room in your case because that thing is HUGE!

If you were happy with the cooling of your Ac7, then for 20 odd dollars including shipping, with pre-installed TIM, just get another one. They are about the easiest ones to install of all the aftermarket coolers. |

Is the Cooler Master V10 better than the V8? Doesn't look like it can move much air.

Based on MPC's review the V8 is better than the V10 with cooling.

I got water for my cpu. I was thinking about getting the v8, but I decided not to. I'm going to be pretty disappointed if they can't at least oc my i920 to 4.0. I've read people getting theirs to 3.6 stable on air alone. I had to spend 100 bucks on a 360 radiator as suggested by James. Not only that, the expensive frostbite cpu cooling system.
