I plan on just doing the general overclocking with my purchase and I see about a 50.00 difference between some of the air coolers... My question is whats worth purchasing and what isn't? Its not like I'm going for a 30% overclock or anything. Just reasonable tweek for performance. (free option)

The Noctua NH-D14 is the best one DS offers, though the smaller Noctua NH-U12P will cool to within a few degrees of what the large D14 will under most conditions, and is like $50 cheaper, so the U12P will work great for you.

yeah I've heard of instances where the liquid cooling options for the processors can't keep up as they don't pump fast enough. Not sure what to make of that.

Whats worth purchasing is Noctua and corsair Air coolers, and stage 4 cooling and above.
