best DS sound card for windows7?

The MoBo sound card for my MSI Big bang is not wanting to work, so I'm gonna have DS install a different one.
I wanted to get the Asus Xonar Essence, but it says that it's not compatible with Windows7(is this true?). What would you guys suggest that will last for a good while without problems?

complete BS, i have the Asus Xonar Essense STX and its working perfectly for me. i have the SLI 3 EVGA mobo with windows 7

Asus STX 100% . . it's compatible with Win7 and for me is far, far better than any of the X-Fi cards.

It's a true audiophile caliber card.  Get a nice pair of headphones and you will be blown away by the sound quality.

another good card you can consider is the ht omega claro halo, i decided to get the stx, but that card deosnt look bad at all either

I have a set of sennheiser headphones, and a Klipsch 2.1 speaker set up.

depends which sennheisers, with the lower end your not really going to hear a big difference in quality, but the sound card works great with SS in games too
