I currently have a Dell 8300 with a 500gb HD that houses the OS, programs and all outlook data. I have another TB HD that I will be unbolting and moving to my new DS PC when it arrives. The TB HD is also backed up on an external HD (backs up every morning). What is the best way to ensure that I get all data moved over to new PC (free)

you can only move files, apps/games/os can't be moved to the new pc, you will have to reinstall those.
if all you are moving is files, then connect the 1TB as an external or internal extra drive (HDD2 or 3 or etc)and windows should detect it and make the drive available to you. Edited by DST4ME - 21 Feb 2010 at 3:50pm |

Yep...i know that much but was just curious about the safest way to ensure it's all there. I guess just move it all to external drive and be done....
