Any advice? looking for the best 27in or 23in for visuals and resolution for the price. Also, what do you guys use or recommend through your experience.

1920x1080 is the resolution you are going to want to look for for max settings on a x2 570SLI set up. For that resolution the Dell UltraSharp 23" is probably the best monitor you can get for that resolution and it's on sale for a nice price right now.
The resolutions that you would normally find on a 27" monitor, like 2560x1440, is too large for only x2 570 SLI. You would need x2 580 SLI in order to max out game settings. Edited by jmaster299 - 16 Dec 2011 at 5:44pm |

2 x 570 2.5GB will handle 2560 x 1600 just the same as sli 580, you are better off with sli 570 2.5GB for higher res then 1900 x 1200, for 1900 x 1200 itself sli 570 1.2GB is more then enough.

Personally I like 1900 x 1200[24"] and 2560 x 1600[30"] res.
so keep in mind for higher res then 1900 x 1200 you gonna want sli 570 2.5GB, which I believe you don't have, so you gonna have to turn down settings, but at 1900 x 1200 your sli 570 1.2GB is great. so based on that I would say 24" but if you want to go higher, do it right and go u30. |

I tested the 30" it's really nice! However, it was a little too big for me, I had to keep moving my head around to see the corners of my screen.

Haha, then everything gets too small. The 27" was just right.
Plus the new 27" models look really nice compared to the older 30" design: ![]() |

Honestly I can't think of one reason why I would want to go back to anything under 30".
I get more real state, better res, can't think of one reason. is that 27" even adjustable? |

I'm a big Dell Monitor fan, but the Thunderbolt is pretty slick. One of the supervisors in the department across from my area at work got one recently. I believe it does adjust.

If it's about price, the Dell will be a better buy. I just liked the look of the monitor. You cannot adjust the height. It works great for me and my use. |
