Hi all!

I am happy to say that I am having an incredible gaming PC being built by Digital Storm right now.

While I'm waiting for it to arrive, I'm on the hunt for the best monitor I can get my hands on right now for FPS gaming.

I will primarily be playing BF3, Crysis 2, etc... on Max settings an my PC will be having dual HD6990s, i72600k, 16GB Ram, Stage 6 Cooling, etc... So I know I will be able to get insane frame rates from the computer itself.

Now I just need a monitor to be able to deliver the best / highest quality possible.

Anyone have any suggestions for the best monitor for FPS gaming?

Thanks in advance!

Chris

So far, this is the best one I've found to consider is the ASUS VG236HE

Thoughts anyone?

Quad CF 6990s? Uh... good luck with that, quad CF and SLI are pretty crappy, just doesn't scale well.

Anywho, you have two different routes. You can either go for best image quality via a Dell U3011, which is an IPS monitor at 2560x1600@60Hz. Or you can go for a made response time 1920x1200@120Hz monitor.

You can't do 2560x1600 at 120Hz, so you'll have to make a decision which you want more.

I'm leaning towards 1920x1200 @ 120Hz

Sorry, can't help you in regards to 120Hz monitors, I have little to know knowledge about them. I can only help you with 2560x1600 monitors.

Get the Dell U3011. It's way better than any 120hz monitor, no contest.
