Because I have benched many, many games on different operating software, and windows 7 is the winner, plus it has so many other advantages, it makes no sense to even think about getting a different OS.

I just switched back to Vista after having many problems with gaming in Windows 7 and problems with drivers and other things.  For COD 4 I always got an error in the game and got booted out many many times.  Now that I have Vista back all of my problems are gone.

When I had windows 7 installed I could not open computer and click on a hard drive without the system freezing and causing a forced shut down.  Many other problems with Windows 7 that I will not waste your time listing them all.

I can't believe that Windows 7 does not cause problems for other people. I will wait for Service Pack 1 or 2 before it gets back on my machine.

I am glad to hear that everyone loves Windows 7 but I fear all is not what it seems to be.

Yeah not everyone is having a good thing going with Win7,
You're one of the unlucky few, Most of the time it has to do with driver issues that's not working with win7

Wow I thought it would be good.

But Vista was horrible for games because it used up half of your RAM

1. Click the Start orb and type REGEDIT in the Start Search area.

2. Open the Registry Editor.

3. Click the plus sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
then SYSTEM
then CurrentControlSet
then Control
then Session Manager
then MemoryManagement
then click PrefetchParameters

4. On the right side, double-click on EnableSuperfetch

5. Give it one of the following values:

0 to disable Superfetch
1 to enable prefetching when program is launched
2 to enable boot prefetching
3 to enable prefectching of everything

Click OK.

it tries to figure out what apps and etc you are going to use and loads up resources for it ahead of time, IMO nothing that will make a big difference, I like mine off.

if by "works!" you mean it will disable the loading of the resources and you that you will see more available free memory in task manager, then yes it works
