Most systems you can go to Search/Run lower left and type msinfo32. A System Info selection will appear before you even finish typing. Click on it and that's it. DON'T update Bios unless there is something you actually need, which isn't all that common. I have never had the need to mess with updating Bios. It can work great or cause major issues. Only time a BIOS update is generally necessary is if you get a new Motherboard and it is a last gen board same socket and a new CPU came out. Like say Ryzen3xxx if it is still AM4.
