There's a new Bios on the E-Vga website for the 680i A1 revision motherboard. Has any of you guys flash your bios yet ??? I was thinking about flashing the bios to the newest version but i don't want the bios to go back to its default setting. On my old system the bios update doesn't take my system back to its default setting but i don't know if it hold true for the NForce motherboard. Anyone from DS can confirm this or not ????

The newest Bios for EVGA 680i SLI A1 revision motherboard is NF680P30... If your Bios is older than this Bios, you should flash it... You don't have to worries about your Bios setting, after you flash it, your Bios setting will be the same with before you flash it, it doesn't go back to default setting.

We always flashing the newest Bios chipset for all of EVGA Motherboards(680i A1, 680i LT, 650i Ultra and 590i) before we build them.

  • Improved Core 2 Quad 1333 stability and overclocking
  • Improved Core 2 Duo 1333 overclocking
  • Resolves issues with G0 stepping CPU's detecting odd multiplier
Doesn't look like this update affects everybody....

I've always been told, that if you're not having issues, then don't update.  Now, that can be a double edged sword.  I definitely don't want to stick my head in the sand and come to realize that it was necessary and didn't do it.

You don't want to update your BIOS and ruin something for some odd reason. Then you can't play your games! Don't flash your BIOS unless you really need to.
