Hi all! First post here although I've been observing for awhile. I went back and forth on other company websites (---------, etc.), but I was really impressed by this community and its passion for the company.
I have been waiting for the Black November sale and it's finally here. Like a few people on these discussion boards I use a Mac for day to day use but I'm ready to pull the trigger on a gaming rig.
After reading a lot of past posts I decided to get a Vanquish Level 4 even though for the type of gamer I am I probably only "need" a Level 3. (The 128 SSD instead of a 240 irked me, but I really wanted the 770 card so that's the reason for the L4.)
Here's my question: does anyone think that DigitalStorm will replace the 770 or lower the price during November and its sale, or should I wait until December and see what happens? I know it's always "better cheaper faster" in PCs but you guys have been around here a lot longer than me. What usually happens between now and the end of the year? Pull the trigger now or hold out?
I'm chomping at the bit but I can wait. Just not sure how the new Radeon cards are going to affect things, if at all.

There will be no changes in pricing for the VANQUISH Level 4 for quite some time. Especially with the new price drop we just did today on it from $1,399 to $1,369.

Now's the time to buy!

You have to remember that just because manufactures drop prices on their parts, doesn't mean a lot of places will be able to reflect new prices.  Especially if they have a large stock of items under the old price setting.

Now, though I can't say for sure, with Christmas season coming up, black friday, cyber monday. You might see some promotions or discounts going out for a short time, but an instant reflection on sales. It's hard too do without taking a big hit on overall stock.

You know, it's funny. "72 hours to ship" is like "wow! how fast!" before you order. After you order, it's an interminable wait. Still stuck at Stage 6.
I can be patient if I must.
Truth be told I'm too dang busy to do anything much with it right away.

@tbfoxdrms all you can do is wait for DS to do their best to make sure everything is good to go. You surely don't want them to rush the shipment as i am sure you want your system to be in the best state when you receive it :)
I myself is also waiting for my vanquish level 4 too haha i can literally feel your pain bro :)

My brand new Vanquish L4 is unboxed and perched by my desk. I am gob-smacked at how fast this thing is. The fans are a bit loud but it won't be noticeable with time. Doesn't make me feel as nervous as when my Macbook Pro fans spin up and it sounds like a hovercraft lifting off.

Within days of ordering mine, I showed my colleague my specs, and he started with "Well, I only need the L1" and ended with "The heck with it. I might as well get the L4." His comes next week. :-)
I'll see how many converts I can create. So far very impressed with the company and I have been and continue to be impressed with this community forum.
