Hello All,
I'm new here, and I ordered my first Digital Storm. I received an email indicating my machine has been shipped! So it won't be long now... Just one question: can anyone give me a brief run down of the care and maintenance of the liquid cooling system [H20: Stage 6: Sub-Zero LCS Dual Loop: CPU & Dual SLI/CrossFire Video Cards]? I've never had one before, so I'm a complete newb. Is there anything I need to know, in particular when I unpack and first start up my machine? Thanks for any info / advice! |

Just watch your fluid levels in your reservoirs. Keep it around half to 3/4 full.Digital Storm fluid is called Feser One cooling fluid,a clear fluid, made in Germany. It contains ethylene glycol. It says on the bottle do not mix.Have DS send you a bottle, thats what they did when they sent my system to me .Your fluid levels will go down over time. They recommend flushing every 3 years. Its a anti-corrosion fluid. To keep the microbial growth out of your cooling loops I use a product called Monsoon, Get from performance -pcs.You replace your fill plugs with this fill plug that contains 99% pure silver. All the microbial growth attacks the silver. This eliminates flushing your system every 3 years.

Mein is on the way too
When you get it unpack take the side panel off. Check all the connections to the fans then look at Ram sims and video card make sure they are all seated well make sure nothing got lose during shipping. Then start it up look closely for leaks have a towel or paper napkins ready just in case.Keep you finger on the start buttom and if you see any leaks press it down till it shuts off. Don't think you going to have a problem but one never knows. Check the fluid level every couple of month and refill if needed.I've had my system for close to 2 years before I had to add fluid. Keep your eyes on the temperature CPU should never go over 85 to 90 C Video cards can run a bit hotter without a problem. CPU Normal temps are 40 to 60 C Video Card 50 C (that is what my system runs at after 3 years running with dusty fans and dusty rediators) Now that all depends on your system (overclocking) and room temp. If you get hight temps check all the fans make sure they are running then check for dusted up fans or radiators. You wil have so much enjoyment with that machine PS:Download and install "real temp" to keep your eye on the temps

DS uses Feser One cooling fluid (clear) in their liquid cooled rigs. You might want to pickup a bottle for when you need to add some fluid.
