So i configured a Black Ops Identical to a Value System and came up with a 220 dollar cost more for the Black Ops.
Only difference is the Corsair obsidian case vs the Coolermaster HAF-X. The Obsidain costs $ 279.00 and the HAF-X costs $ 199.00 at new egg that is a 80 dollar price difference.
so I would like to know what $ 220.00 dollars gets me for the Black Ops since now the Warranty is no longer Platinum for the Black Ops and i configured them the same for the 4 year labor and 2 year parts?
Looks like the Black Ops comes down to an Internet name purchase only for 220 more unless DS can explain the benefits as i don't see any?
Also Black Ops restricts you to only 3 cases not including the HAF-X which it used too.
What gives and maybe DS could explain in the Black Ops section what benefits the end user receives by buying a black Ops. Alex told me the computers are built in the same building ops and value alike.
inquiring penny pinchers want to know the Dealio?
Thanks
And how long until the Black Ops background is ready for the forums? This white background is Killer on my eyeballs since i work the Zombie Shift?

For the most part they both seem to still be using the Special|OPS configure setup. Same options and same exact prices for everything on both except the Black|OPS rigs are now limited to only their top three (most expensive) cases, and those three cases are no longer available on the Special|OPS side.
That's the only difference I can see. Yes those three cases have always been exceptionally expensive anyway, but they seem to be even more so now. I know specifically that the Assassin used to be exactly $151 more than the HAF 922, but now appears to be $251 more. I'm not sure about the prices of the other two. If I had to take a guess I'd say they're probably still in the process of tweaking things. Hopefully they won't take all the recently added extra options away from the Special|OPS section again, they're really nice to have, instead I hope they can find a sufficient amount of options or perks to add to the Black|OPS section. When balancing things always better to buff one side than nerf the other! If you buff you make one side happy they got new things, if you nerf you make one side bitter they had things taken away. But that's just my take on it. ![]() |

I configured my rig and I am satisfied with the price I paid so I will not spend time worrying about if I could have saved a nickel here or a dime there,by configuring some more at the DS site! I figure if they can build a great product and keep us happy with our purchase with great customer service and a well built product, that they are entitled to do business the way they want to. I haven't gotten my rig yet btw,but I am so looking forward to getting it,perhaps next week!!!

The Black|OPS systems are our premium breed. We're going to charge a premium for them. Simple as that. The pricing is now set. We aren't planning to tweak it anytime soon.
We've actually made a lot of changes in our pricing to make it one of the most aggressively priced deals in the market. |

Don't be obtuse just so you can make a snide comment. The $220 more is for a much more expensive case. |

Oh my bad i stand corrected i had configured the Rig on both the black ops and the value with the HAF-X and had it printed out prior to the Black ops offering only 3 cases now.
I apologize i missed the change and see that the Obsidian case is costing a premium.
