I ordered my computer last November and finally had to use the image disk, but to my suprise it was an unformatted blank DVD. It was labled and everything as the image disk, but it did not work. I finally had to use the windows installation disk to fix my issue, but this is a kinda lame.
 

Any information on how I could create one myself or get a new one from DS would be appreciated.

eh thats annoying, but really the only difference it makes is that the drivers would be installed already... and they would be outdated anyway
 
so i agree that its annoying but it wont actually change much if anything for you as far as reformatting

Yeah I don't even see the point in the image disks. It's just an image of a fresh install of Windows plus a video driver, nothing more. The Windows install disk will do the same thing.

yea, i feel they keep it as such an obvious option to comfort people who dont think they could reformat
 
i never used mine, i reformat about every 8ish months

I'm sorry to hear about this. Please contact our staff directly via our toll-free number, or send our staff a message using the message system and we can send you a disc which will allow you to create an image off of what you currently have.
