Hi all!
I've been looking at the bolt 3 for a while and think I'm going to go for it as my next gaming PC. However I have question. I chose the HydroLux cooling system, and in the more info it mentions that it combines a pump, reservoir, and a fluid level indicator. My question is what is the use of the fluid level indicator? Does it mean that I must fill it up every once in a while? |

The Bolt Hydrolux Pro is designed to require zero maintenance over about its 5 year warranty. It can be filled, however, because the unit allows for breaking the loop to add additional components, unlike the Corsair h100i as an example.
Being a relatively new design, can't say if in fact it would need to be topped off over time. Hope this helps.

Argh I'm sorry for bothering, but there is one more thing I have to ask.
Here is a link to a bolt 3 with hydrolux cooling system https://www.google.ae/search?site=webhp&tbm=isch&source=hp&ei=9DlcV9ObNKXcgAbX5aiQDQ&q=bolt+3&oq=bolt+3&gs_l=mobile-gws-hp.3..0l5.1933.3068.0.3193.8.8.0.0.0.0.328.1745.2-3j3.6.0....0...1c.1.64.mobile-gws-hp..2.5.1472.0.g_-qICEHpnA#imgrc=cRqhs7SuWQ08CM%3A As you can see the bolt with the yellow fluid, the fluid indicator has those thin black curved lines...what exactly are those? Thanks Edited by Saad0612 - 11 Jun 2016 at 9:20am |

Good question. Not sure.
Oh, its a 3 year warranty on the unit. Its a Swiftech h220x or some variation of that. |

I want to say they are baffles because the reservoir, technically, can be mounted 2 ways and this helps with the flow, but I could be way over thinking it.

Haha alright, anyways this is my last question I promise lol. Will the fluid level indicator ever drop to middle value or minimum? Or should it realistically stay at max? Thanks again bprat22!

No problem with the questions.
![]() You shouldn't have to worry about it at all from what I'm hearing. Found this picture. Those lines are baffles to direct the returning fluid to the pump/ outlet. ![]() |

They cause a divide too. Without them, depending on where the in and out ports are, you will end up causing your coolant that just entered the res to immediately leave. This can cause several issues from within your res. A tornado/cyclone effect can end up causing air bubbles to form also. Which, we don't want air in our loops, obviously.

Not so sure about Meller, but I am awesome.
![]() ![]() Meller and I are twins, born a day apart the end of July. That pic... the fluid comes in from the left , rises up a bit and carries to the bottom within the baffle. Like Meller said, prevents turbulence, cavitating, etc at the pump pickup. Don't want any air getting in there, is one scenario. |
