We are having trouble with the laptop I bought my husband at xmas 2012. :(
So since I have keyboard and monitor for him to use what about a Bolt? I like the level 2 specs BUT are the I5 processors ok? He is not a gamer. But loves videos and Facebook (stays in touch with his family)etc. I would change the SSD to Intel 520 series, change HDD to WD Black, change to Blu Ray player. Total would be 1790.00. Bit to much. What yall think? Or should I consider the cheapest Bolt level 1? Do Bolts have WiFi or capable? It would not be plugged into cable. I built a Bolt level 1 with these changes and its less money. Intel Core i5 3570K 3.40 GHz (Unlocked CPU) (Quad Core) ASUS P8H77-I (Intel H77 Chipset) (Mini-ITX) 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Digital Storm Certified Performance Series (Highly Recommended) (Hand Tested) 500W Gold Plus Series Digital Storm Certified BOLT Edition (Enhanced Quiet Operation) 1x (750GB Hybrid Solid State (By: Seagate) (7200 RPM) (Delivers SSD-like Performance) Blu-Ray Player (Blu-Ray 6x) & DVD/CD Writer 1x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 2GB (Includes PhysX) (EVGA FTW Signature 2) $1412.00 |

The i5 3570k i believe would be fine if all he does is watch movies and facebooks.
As far as Wifi goes i believe some of those motherboards have wifi capabilities Edited by ArkansasWoman777 - 15 Jun 2013 at 1:51pm |

Hi RPGer..... I agree, stick with the i5 being a quad core chip and the gtx 660 is all you need. As far as WiFi, you can get a USB wifi dongle to plug in externally to access the router or, pick the Bolt lvl 3, its Deluxe mobo has onboard WiFi, drop to i5, pick your drives and change video card to gtx 660. Just a bit more but you have the better mobo and larger ram. The larger ram you probably don't need but its there.
But, your build with external wifi dongle works great. Good luck.
