Well, I've had my Bolt for about a month and I've been too occupied playing games on it to post my pictures!! I'm finally transferring picture files to my pristine empty hard drive so I thought I'd post some pics! It's looks REALLY cool in person, the pictures don't quite convey how awesome it is. The LED logo is also brighter and more colorful in real life.
As far as function goes, the Bolt's been absolutely great. Everything has been running very fast and clean. My config was a Stage 4 with the processor changed to an overclocked Intel Core i5 3570K (I don't multi-task much) and the video card down to a GeForce 670 with 4 GB. (this was ordered before the 700s came out) The hard drive was changed to a 256 GB Samsung 840 and I'll be adding another one in the near future. It is a pretty moderate build but I have still been enjoying it greatly. Everything has been running super fast and I am loving running my games on high settings again. It even seems to have improved my game performance, I went from riding the rank threshold in WoW to getting some really high rankings the next week. Only change? Using my new Bolt instead of my 5+ yr old laptop. :) It's also been nice for working and other office tasks. Temperature and noise has been pretty good as well. I was concerned about both before I got it, but the temp readings have stayed good even after long game sessions. The noise is a little louder than say, a bigger PC with a really huge slow fan, but it's quiet enough to be perfectly acceptable in a small room. It doesn't seem to get much louder when it's been in use for longer periods of time. Anyway, enough with the basic review. Onward to the pictures! Picture 1: The Bolt on day 1, being updated. Enjoy the college-room-chic/size saving decor. (more room for other stuff!) Picture 2: The Bolt opened up. Nothing loose, everything working well. Picture 3: Close up to see the metallic undercoat Pictures 4 and 5: Comparison with a Xbox 360 for size and proportions Picture 6: Comparison with a WoW CE box for size.
