Hey Everyone.
Im going to detail my setup a bit. About a month ago. I ordered a Level 3 Bolt. After hearing the GunMetal Gray case was backordered, I decided to take advantage of the time and upgrade to a Level 4 Bolt and added the nVidia GTX Titan. That was a very good decision. The bad decision was ordering the system with Windoze8. After a very short amount of time, I formatted the system and reinstalled with Win 7. After some quick and expert help from DS Tech Support, we have everything working perfectly now. So Here is what I have. ******** Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Pre-built Digital Storm Bolt - Level 4 Exterior Finish: Metallic Dark Grey Gunmetal Matte Finish with Black Vents and Black Stand Trim Accents: - Standard Factory Finish Processor: Intel Core i7 3770K 3.50 GHz (Unlocked CPU) (Quad Core) Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe (Intel Z77 Chipset) System Memory: 16GB DDR3 1600MHz Digital Storm Certified Performance Series (Highly Recommended) (Hand Tested) Power Supply: 500W Gold Plus Series Digital Storm Certified BOLT Edition (Enhanced Quiet Operation) Hard Drive Set 1: Operating System: 1x (120GB Solid State (By: Corsair) (Model: Neutron GTX Series) (SATA 6Gbps) Optical Drive 1: DVD/CD 8x Multi-Drive (Writes and Reads DVDs, CDs) Video Card(s): 1x NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN 6GB (Includes PhysX) Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio Extreme Cooling: High Performance Cooler with Five Heatpipes Chassis Airflow: Standard Factory Chassis Fans CPU Boost: Stage 2: Overclock CPU 4.5GHz to 4.8GHz *************** Now here is the crazy part. I use a late year 2009 27" iMac as the Monitor. Other supporting hardware is as follows Logitech G930 Wireless Gaming Headset with 7.1 Surround sound Logitech G700S Gaming Mouse Logitech Bluetooth Easy-Switch Keyboard Steel Series Mouse Pad After a little bit of frustration at waiting for the system to arrive and the small snafu of the DVD player, I am EXTREMELY happy. This system is so fast and one can only appreciate the Bolt fully when you open the case and look inside. There is so much inside this small case, yet it has such great airflow that heat is not an issue. Kudos to whoever designed it. To end my probably too quick detailing of my system I'd like to include a Pic of my setup and I actually recorded a quick video. And here is a quick YouTube walk around. Awesome! Congrats on your Bolt!
I like how you've got your iMac set up so that you can easily go from Mac to PC with the bolt. |

I could redo the review to be something more like
Do you like making your friends Cry. Does the thought of constantly having them below you in the end game stats tickle your insides Then you my Friend need to buy a DS Bolt with a GTX Titan and become the Mythical Killing machine you have always dreamed of being haha |

Just wanted to put a small update about "The Tardis"
He has been running at 4.2Ghz for a long time now with zero issues. So in summary The bolt F-ing Rocks. I can not recommend it, or Digital Storm enough. (Which I do all the time by the way whenever I am playing online) |

Nice! What MB did you have before? Is it seriously noticeable in game play? I'm looking at the bolt level 4, built as is.

My Old system is the Monitor you see in the above pics.
It is actually a 27" iMac. It's a quad core i5 with 8gbs of memory. It's still a very decent computer and I do the majority of my computing on it. The only thing that was getting long in the tooth was the video card. Since its an all in one, I was limited as to what I could upgrade it to. It has an ATI Radeon 4850 The Bolt has a GTX Titan and it freaking rules. Click the link at the end of the first post to check out my setup. It's pretty slick and I can guarantee you, I am the only one running something like this. Edited by lusiphur - 10 Aug 2013 at 8:24pm |

Yeah, I saw that!
Are the fans loud during game play? I was looking to pay about 3600-4K for a system! After looking at your build...I dont think its necessary! Edited by Clay - 10 Aug 2013 at 8:46pm |

Well, in general...when you are doing a virus scan, running system mechanic or something like that....do the fans run hard? I just hate to hear fans running hard, or the system running hard for no reason.

Nope
The fan on the Titan only kicks in when I am gaming. I run 2560x1440 at max settings in all my games. |
