I am looking at updating my graphics card in my bolt3. I currently have a PNY gtx 980 but my concern is the width of the card.

Would I have to do anything with the bracket ad ribbon before installing the new card? The 1080 is pushing 2.2in thick so just over 2 card slots. That would leave about 3/4 in of clearance to the glass. Enough room for airflow?

It does look like I can move the video card ribbon back 1 more slot on the bracket just take a little work.

The Bolt 3 was designed to accommodate Titan Z , triple lot size video cards.   Even a 4 slot card might fit.     The card mentioned is a 2.5 slot.

DS would be the final answer on this, but I don't see a problem.

Thanks for the reply, so the fans being so close to the glass shouldn't inhibit airflow to much since it does come into the case form the sides of the glass anyways.

Don't need much clearance for air intake. Should be good.   I would be more concerned with getting the heat out of the case than any intake.

I had installed when made 2 - High Static Pressure - Corsair Air Series SP120 Fans which are exausting air outside the case through the radiator mounted under them in the top of the case. Should I look at upgrading these or these should be just fine? I see corsiar came out with some new magentic lev fans.

I'm still a little weary of putting anything but a blower type card in here.

Granted mine has the laser cut holes I'm still concerned for airflow.
