For gaming, does a dedicated OS boot drive and another dedicated gaming drive have any significant benefits?...besides loading times...
 
and whats up with raptors and ssds?

sky why setup would you recommend for a dude who wants to game, have a few pictures and a couple thousand songs.
 
A tv tuner may come into play, but I might get a ext hd for that.

Its always best to keep your OS drive separate then your games and files ;)

this makes lot of things easier, like backing up, or in case of corruption ;)

Keep in mind though when you install anything its gonna wanna auto default to the boot drive, so youll have to custom install...and I know of a few games (gears of war) where it doesnt even give you the option to custom install, it just auto installs into wherever the hell it wants on the boot drive...needless to say thats annoying as hell and makes you run out of harddrive space pretty fast on the boot drive.
