Hey guys, First time poster, long time visitor :P
I've been browsing the DS forums for almost 2 and a half years now and I have chosen them for my next upgrade for my new computer. So i've had my current PC for roughly 4-5years now and its definitely time for an upgrade lol. The only thing is , I probably wouldn't be ordering this for 4-6 weeks. Budge is looking like its around 4700$ range. Can be adjusted. This PC would be mainly for high end gaming, where hardware can't be an issue. I will also be recording footage from games such as WoW, DIablo 3 (etc) . I would also do some school work on it and just basic general use. I am currently using a dual monitor set up on 2 Nvidia 260's. I would only be running the games on 1 monitor however, this monitor has a resolution of 1920 x 1080. One main thing I want to do is be future proof for a bit hence the 2 GPU's in the build below. I'm not a computer genius when it comes to preformance or anything but the below configuration is based what I would like. I am aware that some of the things I have selected are "overkill" thats why I posted here for some help. If possible I would absolutely love to keep the Syndicate chasis, but I haven't read much about it. If someone could provide some feedback that would be awsome. Hi Yeshy...Welcome to the forums.
That build looks great...I would suggest changing the power supply to the 1050HX. It will give you more room to grow and has a 7 year warranty, indicative of the quality. I don't know much about the U2-UFO case but some have complained of the noise level with all those smaller fans. The X79 platform is overkill for just gaming. The X79's quad channel ram is a welcome for those that do video rendering, 3D rendering, editing etc. If its in the budget than why not. It certainly won't hurt. but the Z77Deluxe mobo with i7-3770k chip for hundreds less will give you the same gaming. For gaming we always suggest starting with the Dreadnought level 2 under the Special Ops section. But, your call as always. You need to get what makes you happy. The HafX case is tops in air cooling and the fans are quiet. You could also check out the sli gtx670 for hundreds less, especially with your monitor. The 670's performance is very close to the 680's. Hope this helps and good luck. Edited by bprat22 - 27 May 2012 at 10:41am |
