I just recently (just after thanksgiving) took delivery of my ode3 and ive been loving it. Then yesterday i go to start it up and get this message:

Overclocking failed! Please enter setup to re-configure system

Setup is f2

I entered setup and quit it and everything seems to be working alright with my ode3 but im confused and scared! How can i be sure everything is still working fine?

Sorry for my general computer ignorance.

Run CPU-z, put the system under load and tell me your "core speed" in cpu-z.

do you get this message all the time or just that one time?

under load the core speed is 4600 mhz. Which i take to mean everything's peachy? Not under load it is 1600mhz

The message only happened once. Freaked me out though.

Thanks for your help Dst4me!

It can do that if the system was accidentally not turned off correctly, or if the CLEAR CMOS button gets accidentally pressed on the machine.

If you saved the BIOS settings and it's running fine, which it looks like, you should be good to go. Cool

As Alex said, looks like your oc is there 4.6Ghz and you are good to go, ignore that message happens from time to time, if you do ever lose your oc, its saved in a profile in the bios, just enable profile 1 and your oc is back.
