Budget:
$1,000-ish is what I would like to stay around, but maybe up to $1,500.

Expectations:
I would like to build a PC that is as cheap as possible and still give me a very good gaming experience.

Usage:
1080p gaming on hopefully ultra settings.

Special Needs:
Low to mid 70's gaming environment and no pets, so cooling shouldn't be a problem

Specifications:
Will the base "Good" or "Better" Vanquish PC's get the job done for 1080p gaming on Ultra? If not, what should I tweak? Or can I even afford it with my limited budget? If not, what's the cheapest build for what I want so that I know how much I need to save up?

Hi Zullah....... For your budget I would get the Vanquish level 2, Better I think, and swap to the gtx 1070.   If you need to trim expenses more, then swap to the i5-6600k.   I prefer the 6700 but for gaming, the i5 is great.

Sorry for the very late reply. I was in a long and intense negotiation session with my wife lol. Ending up going with the base level 3 Vanquish with nothing tweaked. Seemed like the best deal for what's offered without emptying our bank account.


Now I play the waiting game..
