I've been tweaking a custom AMD build for under $4000 and I need some opinions...

http://www.digitalstormonline.com/comploadsaved.asp?id=425167

Here's the noteworthy changes...

Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Cooler Master 942 HAF X
Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition (3.2GHz) (6 Core) (6 MB Cache) AM3 Socket
Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair IV Formula (AMD 890X Chipset) (SATA 6 and USB 3.0) (Socket AM3)
System Memory: 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Corsair Dominatior DHX (High-Performance)
Power Supply: 1000W Corsair (Dual/Triple/Quad SLI Compatible)
Hard Drive Set 1: 1x (1TB Hitachi/Seagate (7200 RPM) (32MB Cache)
Optical Drive 1: DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 24x / CD-Writer 48x) (LightScribe Edition)
Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections)
Video Card(s): 1x ATI Radeon HD 5970 2GB
Extreme Cooling: H20: Stage 6: Sub-Zero LCS Dual Loop: CPU & Single Video Card & Chipset
H20: Tube Color: White Tubing with High-Performance Fluid (UV Lighting Reactive)
Chassis Airflow: Upgrade Chassis With LED Performance Fans (Blue) (Up to 6 Fans)
Internal Lighting: Internal Chassis Lighting System (UV) (Creates Glowing Effect for H20 Tubes)
CPU Boost: FREE Stage 1: Overclock the processor between 3.3GHz to 3.9GHz (Cooling Upgrade Recommended)
Video Boost: FREE: Yes, Overclock the video card(s) as much as possible with complete stability
Memory Boost: Memory Fan Kit Only (Does not include memory overclocking service)
Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate (64-Bit Edition)
Restore Kit: Digital Storm Specialized Recovery System (DVD Image Based)
Speakers: Logitech 2 Piece (Black Edition) Amplified Speaker Set

I like the processor, motherboard, memory, power supply and Windows version but I need advice on the rest, whatcha think? I kinda wish the Corsair 800D was a case option for this, as I'd prefer it over the HAF X but it'd work too.

AMD is nice, but from what I've heard, an intel... overclocked is MUCH better!
You can save somemoney by going with the 932, great airflow.
I'm not sure if the ASUS rampage 3 mobo i recomended is overkill? but its nice cause u have a big budget
6 gigs at 1600 is nice
you can have a nice solid state drive to speed things up too!!!
the GTX 480 is thebomb, and from what ive heard from the guys on the forums, thats theway to go!!
LC* is overkill with this pc, a nice noctua D-14 air cooler is nicceeee, unless you want the LC* for looks then go right ahead, but only get it for the video card and proccessor!
Big no no on the video overlock, it doesnt do much

I agree with dustymanhp on going with intel instead of amd for a high end biuld at 2000+ but i suggest an EVGA board instead of ASUS because the SATA6gb/s right now is pretty much a fake.

anyways since you didnt include your res for your monitor or what you would be using your biuld for ill go ahead and assume its mostly gaming but ill also include what would work if its for something like PS too although theres not much change in there.

1.) You have a 4000 budget, you are going to go LC and for that reason you should go with the corsair 800D
2.Like dustymanhp said you should be going with intel for processor and the 930 is fine, 920 if they got it to save you a few bux but w/e works for you because they are the same chips, just factory oc'ed that costs you more money
3.i would suggest the EVGA LE if you are not going to go duel GPU but if you do plan to then you should go duel or tri then go with the classified if you can or the ftw evga boards
4.Power supply depends on how many gpu's you are going to run, if only one then the 750 corsair will give you all the juice u would use and if more than 1 then go with the 1250W enermax
5. For ram if you are going to use this rig for mostly gaming, then the 6g at 1600 DS certified will be perfect, if you are using it for work say 3d rendering and photoshop, etc then you should go with the 12g at 1600
6. You are biulding a high end system, you should definitely have a SSD in there, the ssd will improve the overall performance of your rig by alot, and i mean a lot. You should have a 160g intel ssd for first OS/Apps/main games then another 1tb for storage and others
7. I dont suggest getting the 5970 since its only just 2 gpu's in there, if you like ati i would do duel 5870's instead or for nvidia i would do a single 480, and 2 if your budget allows or if you want it, i personally would go with nvidia and i suggest it too
8. For your LCS you have the idea but I would like to add that the DS rad's and their fans dont work well with each other, you should go a head and go online n research on which rad's go well with which fans as some rads work best with low cfm fans and others with high cfm fans, i suggest looking for a rad that works well with low cfm fans since this would cause you less noise. Once you find which rad and fans you want you can call DS and have them special order it for you to put it on your rig.
9. No point in upgrading the fans in this since your gonna be special ordering your fans and rads and plus the led fans are mentioned by many who bought them as "loud" and they dont help all that much anyways
10. You can choose to upgrade your gpu, but know this it is a mild upgrade, dont expect it to run a lot better but then the gpu you would be getting should run very well anyways so yea you can if you want and it wouldnt hurt your temps a lot if your going with the 480 cause your going LC. It isnt a huge "no no" as dustymanhp said it was because it isnt anything but a mild FREE oc, doesnt hurt at all
11.speakers- i think you would be able to find a better deal somewhere online, DS also doesnt include the warranty or shipping i believe with these.

Also since youll be going with Corsair 800d you can mod the case too if you want to. If you want to save some money i suggest just gettnig a HAF case or the assassin or any of the raven's and go with the D14, that also cools very well

Thats about it the biuld should look like this:
