So I'm currently finishing out the last 23 days of my tour here in Afghanistan and I'm so stoked to come home and build a new gaming computer for Battlefield 3 !!! I have been here for 232 days and I don't get alot of computer time so I'm a little out of the loop in the tech world.

I have a laptop for my work, so I'm looking to build a pure gaming/web cruising rig for like 2k + or minus a few hundred if needed. If memory serves my monitor is a 22 inch 1080 and I am purely concerned with running BF3 on the highest settings allowed. Any help is greatly appreciated guys !!! See you on the Battlefield !

for that res and bf3 look at ode 3 or I can make a custom config for you for around $2800, that will include everything, sli 570, hafx, deluxe mobo, 8GB ram, ssd and etc.

I believe ODE 3 is the model and level of gaming desktop.

Gaming Desktops -> Special Ops - ODE - Level 3, hence ODE 3

I could be wrong though, have only lurked these forums recently, but given the context, it seems pretty logical.

big no to that, as I mentioned you need sli 570 for that res, that config has only a single 580 and can't do sli 580.

Well let me put it to you like this, if we config an exact system with a different case, the price difference is gonna be around $600 more, I suggest you deal with the case, which fyi is a great case, with great airflow, make sure you request the side mesh grill, it will come separate and has space for 4 x 120mm fans, you should add those yourself later for best airflow.

ode 3 is twice as powerful as your config in gaming.
