Ordered The following build. Want to talk about some of the things on this build with DSO on monday on phone and put in some special requests too. All in all it cost me a little more than what I expected but its very future proof. I put in some questions at checkout on the optional comments page and hope to get them resolved, not to mention the 3 way conference call with my bank Big%20smile.

Do 2 Ultras need a bigger power supply than a 850? That's what I heard and that is why I went with a 1000 for later proofing etc. If not, I will request a change to a 850 power supply Big%20smile.

Accidently ordered the non lightscribe drive Big%20smile. Need to change that too.

Hope to hit the 3.0 Ghz overclock mark with this from DSO. Made sure to put in components that will make it easier for them to do so.

I also put in a request for a G0 stepping. I recall some of you also asked for that in a different topic. Did you guys get it? Did it cost you anything. I might pay 35 dollars extra for it. That's what Alex said it would cost me.

Yeah, if you have 1x8800GTX Ultra, you need only 850w PSU... But you have to email us anytime or call us on Monday for your order change.
Have a great weekend.

Lightscribe ?? You could get an Epson CD/DVD printer that can print full colors on cd/dvd instead of the gray graphic on a lightscribe disc Tongue

Don't hold your breath on the G0 stepping, i requested it when my system was being built but didn't get it Cry

With your config, i think DS can hit 3.0Ghz easily.

I've heard that the lightscribe drive does not like installing Vista well? Is that true? Does that mean it doesn't like to install well on Vista or the CD inside a Lightscribe drive does not read well and cannot install Vista?

well that's with any sata optical drive, lightscribe or not.  The reason why is when you install the OS it needs Sata optical drivers, so since there aren't any at this time on the installation discs, it's next to impossible to install windows on a sata optical drive.  I am sure SP1 will address that issue though...

Ah, Got it. Thanks Kelly. So how do you install Windows Vista in that scenario then? I am sure I know the answer but drawing a total blank right now.

With my config I ordered a GeForce 8800 ULTRA and 620w power supply. Is this not enough of a power supply for the 8800 ULTRA?

It's fine with a single card, insufficient for SLI Ultra.

DVD±R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 20x / CD-Writer 48x)

I ordered this with the other normal reader. Do i need the reader? Because ithink this is an ATAPI EIDE drive not SATA.

I think all the cd/dvd reader DS offered is EIDE except for the Lightscribe Optical drive. For now.
