FINALLY getting back from Afghanistan so it's time to really plan my rig out. Here's what I'm looking at so far:

(Monitor = 1929x1080)

Ticket Number : 391129

My main question is about the graphics cards. Is it better to just stick with the 5870 or perhaps switch to 2x of another card.

I obviously built this rig with the plan to have plenty of upgrading options so I'm open to all ideas...

add ram fan only, change os to win7 pro and you are good to go, just remember:

HDD1 = fast drive: os/apps/games

HDD2 = regular large drive: media/personal/work file storage

Don't fill up your HDD1 more then 50%, if think you will need more room for it then pick a bigger one.

1 x 5870 is all you need, like you said, if for some reason you see its not enough you can always add a second but single gpu is always best if it gives you what you need.

Reasoning on the RAM fan?

I totally forgot to click win7 pro but that is in fact what I was going for.

And agreeing with what you said, the drive selected is just for OS and games, I will be adding a 500g and 2 1T at a later time.
