I am considering purchasing a new desktop and wanted some feedback on my build. My hard cap is 2400, and I'm content spending less if possible.
I haven't decided whether I want to purchase now or if I want to wait until the release date for Old Republic draws nearer, the rationale being there may be better/newer parts for a similar price out next year when I really need to upgrade (I've got a 6 year old desktop that still runs all my current games and a DS laptop that's a beast, although I try not to game on the laptop unless I'm travelling).
Here is the ticket #, I apologize for not pasting the specs, the work filter at my law firm is wonky.
Ticket #: 428202
Also, I plan on purchasing a 25"+ 1920 x 1080 monitor to use with the machine. Any feedback is much appreciated, and if anyone wants to chime in on purchasing now or waiting till next year I'm interested in the opinion.

WAIT FOR THE SWTOR RELEASE!!!!
(seriously wait for the release. there's all kinds of stuff coming out in the next 7-9 months and that's about when SWTOR will get released. i'm waiting for that release as well)
but if you have money burning a hole in your pocket....go for it.

That was my thought. I'll just run the current desktop until it self-destructs and get a new machine once a release date is given.

yea if thats the only game you care about playing id run your current rig into the ground first
but i will say, the longer you wait, the more youll kick yourself once the next big thing comes out.. you can get a solid machine for about 1900, even less if you want to save more, you dont need to hit 2400
sadly, waiting in this game is always a double edged sword, you can not stay ahead of the technology curve
