Does the $2000 include the table? Or is it a separate expense?
Considerations include how much room for expansion you need, i.e. will you be adding a second video card in the future to this rig? Since it is the most graphically-intensive game you list, what quality settings do you want to hit on BF3? The baseline Level 2 Dreadnought is a good place to start configuration at. I would consider the following build. Of note are a GTX 570 2.5GB (which is very close to the 580, with a lower price tag), the Corsair A70 and corresponding Stage 1 OC. If your budget for the comp alone is $2000, you can bump to an i7 2600K and/or the Noctua heatsink/fan and be within the budget. The A70 cooler is gone for good. Corsair discontinued. DS just hasn't updated the config builder. You'd need the D14 or stick with A50 with no or stage one oc.
To save a little more, if you will never sli, take kenage's build and drop motherboard to the LE version and save $82. Also, consider the ODE level 1.. Good price if budget is tight.
