hmm, just a thought .. i think there should be a call of duty movie (or trilogy, perhaps). not about ww2, but something modern/current in the 21st century. no comical oriented-stuff like g.i. joe (terrible !!), but it would have a great plot, setting, and direction and character development. it, and the possible sequels, could be a continuation complementing each other, like the bourne trilogy. the cast wouldn't be the a-stars for the majority, but bring in some fresh faces yet they can act or cry really well, haha.
what do you guys think? if i had to pick the cast, i would definitly want to cast Sam Worthington (there's something about the fellow i like) and Ewan Mcgregor and Clive Owen (great actor !!).
director? Spielberg is too overrated.

So basically, it would be CoD in name only, since it's not about WW2?
Besides, how could you hope to compete with"Band of Brothers" or "Saving Private Ryan" or anything done by Hanks/Speilberg?
No "A" stars for the most part?
Just because Ewan McGregor and Clive Owen are "across the pond" does not mean they are not A list stars.....soon as they're on board; it's BIG budget !
Might as well get Cameron to produce/direct.....$$$$$$.....
I know its just a concept on your part but I think it needs work and a bit more thought.
Anyway, that's what this guy thinks...............JPT
