Topic: Can't install some games? Posted: 30 Sep 2008 at 6:02pm |
so i've been able to install most of my games.. such as: Halo, Star wars KOTOR, Rainbow six vegas1, Empire at war. but some of my games won't install on my computer such as Games from EA and rainbow six vegas2. When i try to install games from EA usually i get to the 2-3 CD and then my computer gets a blue screen.. and i have to restart my computer.. and with Rainbow six vegas 2 i get about 60-70% and i get an error saying something about data cab2.exe and i'm not to sure what that is or how to get rid of it... if anyone can help, it would be Greatly apreciated! Thanks!

download the iso version, burn it to a cd. then reboot pc and boot off of that cd. if you don't know how to do that let me know. Edited by DST4ME - 02 Oct 2008 at 3:26pm |

not sure, it could be the amount of ram, but most likely, its either a bad stick or bad port.

OC is over clock.
if you run the memtest it would be better, otherwise you gonna have to try that stick in another port and try and figure out if its a bad port or stick |

I would find out if its ram or the port before I did all of that, most likely its the stick, but its better to double check to be sure IMHO.
