Uniformed Newbie question here:

I have ordered a new DS system with an 8800gtx video card and I am wondering if I will need to replace my existing monitor to use the system.  My existing monitor opnly has analog input.

Specs on the 8800gtx say it has two DVI-I outputs.  I am guessing I need a monitor with digital input.

You should be able to use your current monitor. EVGA and a lot of other manufacturers provide analog/digital converters.

The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.

The eVGA 8800GTX comes with 2 analog/digital converters.  DS will put these in the parts box with the rest of the extra parts.  (I have the eVGA 8800 GTX)

It was already answered, but yes the converters are included.  They will be in on the boxes DS packs with your system.  It will have all of the extra parts - SLI bridge, cables, etc.

If your monitor doesn't come with a DVI cable or it is too short, you can get a quality cable without spending an arm and a leg (i.e. Monster, etc)
