So I need to buy more coolant to refill my reservoir a little bit more. The one in my build came with was a blue color, I found this one on Amazon that looks exactly like it

Amazon

The bottle they shipped me is ModWater PC coolant Mod-0279 Blue UV....

this is the one mine has (this was when I was filling it up the first time)

Someone told I shouldn't mix the coolants so would I have to buy the one DS used?

Yes, call them and ask what coolant they used in your build.

Hi,

Do NOT mix coolants.
You can buy the coolant you have from its manufacturer. ModMyMods.com and 1L will set you back $8.99, Just checked.

Awesome
Nice. Coolants are sometimes upgraded and not backwards compatible so if you need some you have to drain, flush, rinse and refill with the new one!

Have you found out where the coolant is going? It sure looks like you are loosing a lot IMO.

I have not changed my coolant in 4 years and still crystal clear!

So I should be okay with the one I ordered from modmymods right? its the same one that was included in the box, what do you mean by upgraded and not backwards compatible? does that mean the modmymods coolant i ordered won't work for me? lol i hope that's not what you mean

it dropped a little bit more yesterday but as of the morning it hasn't dropped its stayed at the same level, its about 2 inches from filling up, i should be good once I add a small amount of the modmymods coolant,

The coolant mfg. will change formulations for diverse purposes. When that happens you get a new product with a different name or something to denote the changes (improvements, of course). Sometimes they are not friendly with prior mixes and cause all sort of ugly issues. That is what I meant by not being backwards compatible.
Saw in other posts that your level has finally stabilized. I am sure that you will keep an eye on it like an eagle.
Enjoy. Smile

I spoke with modmymods and they said I should be fine with the one they send me, as they said its the same one DS uses on all if not most of their builds. I hope they didn't change it

Look at the bottle. It should be the same you have. It should also show exp. date. Store in a cool dark place.
Enjoy. Smile

I just called modmymods again, they said its safe to use as its the same one DS uses. They haven't changed the formulation. He even said they normal clear UV would be fine but I made sure I got the blue one as its the one my unit has. Its only 2 inches or so I need to top off

I ended up emailing Stellar and he was kind enough to ship me a bottle from DS directly, I'll be using that one instead as its direct from Digital Storm. Can't get more closer than that!
