I will be receiving a replacement mother board in a few days so started the
process of removing the old one. I cannot get the SATA5 and SATA6 plugs
to come out and do not want to use excessive force. The board is a Sabertooth X58, LGA1366.
SATA_6g_1 and SATA4 came right out, but they do have a push down release clip.
SATA5 & 6 seem like they should just pull out but will not budge for me.
They do sit below a jack arrangement that has a yellow bar code tape on it.
Anyone have any experience removing  these? Hate to bug tech support for such a trivial thing.
Cables in question are a black plug with flat red wire harness, 2ea, one below the other.

Thanks for any assistance,

Chuck

Well I guess I just needed someone to tell me that it should just come off
with no special locks, clips, words (well ok maybe a few words) etc.
Was about to pick up the camera for a picture of it and decided to use two hands this time and eased it back and forth a bit...came off with bit of effort but off. so all is well.

Thanks,

Chuck

Great, I'm glad you got it worked out, now take it look at the sata connector and see what its sticking, it should be easy to go in and out, unless its one of those you described with the push down clip.
